How to Turn Failure Into Your Biggest Online Business Success

How to Turn Failure Into Your Biggest Online Business Success

“Every adversity carries with it the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit” according to Napoleon Hill.

Our failures are indeed the most fertile seeds of our future success. If we plant them. To understand this, we have to understand why things go wrong. We have to learn the lesson from the bad experience.

All things happen for a reason. Unfortunately, when adversity hits, we’re usually so busy feeling sorry for ourselves or trying to recover that we don’t stop to think about the reason behind the event. So we never learn the lesson. We never get the opportunity to plant the seed.

We also get so busy in life, so caught up in meeting the demands of today, that we often miss the “seeds” that are dropped in our path. This is especially true when times are tough.

I’ve been having some significant struggles lately, related to my businesses. I’ve tried to practice what I preach and remain positive and focused. But, as the great Jim Rohn says, “Do what I say, not what I do.” It’s hard at times for even the most seasoned personal growth teacher to handle situations the way she knows she should.

In the midst of my struggles I took my kids to a nature conservatory. They were having a great time running around and exploring. There was a big window you could sit by and watch the birds in the trees. I noticed a lady sitting there holding her young daughter. The little girl was beautiful. She was confined to a wheelchair that was accompanied by more medical gadgets than I could comprehend. She wasn’t verbal, but had the most engaging smile.

That scene had a huge impact on the outlook I had on my current adversity from that moment on. It made me refocus on the fact that business is just business, and whatever decisions I make and directions I go in aren’t as life-consuming as I was making them out to be.

My kids are super healthy and able to run around and appreciate every simple thing in life. They aren’t restricted to the “handicapped trails” that this little girl was limited to. And no matter what happens in business, no matter where we are, what we do, and what we have, my kids and I have each other. And, really, that’s all we need.

I’ll never know the pain and heartache of this mom who deals daily with the fact that her child can’t “have it all.” (Although I’m sure that she is grateful for every special joy and moment she shares with her child.) Now there’s true adversity, I thought to myself. My problems are nothing more than a minor distraction in comparison.

Watching this child was like a 4:00 a.m. alarm clock jolting me back into reality. The seed I planted was a renewed appreciation for my children’s perfect health. The seed I planted was the recognition that “this too shall pass,” and I’ll probably come out better for having weathered the storm. The seed I planted was seeing how relatively easy it was to deal with my problem, which now seemed pretty insignificant compared to my original assessment of it.

Things happen when you need them to happen. But you have to be aware enough to realize they’re happening and to plant the seeds for your future benefit. I was recently introduced to a person who I think will be a big help to me. But I had to seize upon the fact that maybe it wasn’t random that I met her when I did. I had to realize that maybe she came into my life now because she had something that could help me now. And I had to plant that seed to reap the benefit of that relationship.

Become ultra-aware when you are facing adversity. When your new landing page isn’t converting, not even your mom will sign up in your latest network marketing company, or your product launch nets one order. Take heart. Look around you and find the lesson in your failure, or struggle, or whatever is stressing you out. There are seeds there. Seed that, if planted, will be valuable lessons to getting it right next time, or to putting in perspective just how bad it really isn’t.

Your 7 Keys to Success Online

When marketing on the internet there are 7 keys to success you must keep in mind and use as a guide in your online journey. If you have any expectations of achieving great success as an online entrepreneur it is important to realize the road to success starts with YOU!

The degree to which you find success or for that matter failure will not be dependent upon what you know or what skills you may have. Your level of accomplishment will however require a positive mental attitude, a sense of realism and a solid work ethic. If you can supply those 3 attributes then you are ready to start marketing on the internet.

Here are 7 key components that will significantly influence your online efforts and determine whether they will result in great success or failure.

Positive Mindset

Approaching your internet business you should be confident and enthusiastic. To possess any other type of mindset would indicate this may not be a good decision on your part. Maintaining a positive mental attitude will serve to make your efforts not only seems easier but also most likely more effective.

Expect to Invest Your Time

Remember that this is a business that will require your time and effort. Even though many of the tasks involved can be somewhat automated you will still need to set them up and monitor the progress. This type of business is like any other except you will be using a computer therefore time and effort will need to be invested.

Expect Obstacles

It is not realistic to assume everything will go according to YOUR plan so be prepared to face ‘unexpected’ obstacles. It is also equally important to not let yourself get discouraged or frustrated when these obstacles do arise. All you can control is your own actions and how you react to the obstacles that do confront you.

Expect to Make Mistakes

Assume, expect or even plan on making mistakes since it is going to happen after all you are only human and mistakes are a natural part of the learning process. Learn from the mistakes you do make and try not to repeat them. Marketing on the internet involves a constantly changing environment which means new things to learn and as a result mistakes to be made.

Break Away From the Pack

You are entering an industry where plenty of people have succeeded before you so you know it can be done. Learn from the successes of others but that doesn’t mean you need to ‘duplicate’ the path they took. Initiate your own ideas using business models that have proven to be successful in the past. You will generally find greater success and less competition by breaking away from the herd and blazing a new trail.

Build a List

It is recommended that from the earliest stages of your business to take the necessary measures to build a list of contacts. Setting up a squeeze page is something you should incorporate into the ‘launching’ of your business. Long term success on the internet is usually dependent upon having a list of contacts that you can promote to through email.

Put Customers First

Always remember the customer is your top priority and without them you have no business. Listen to their feedback and address their concerns since this will keep them satisfied and their feedback should help you to improve your business.

Ultimately the keys to success when marketing on the internet lie more within you and your willingness to be realistic and invest the effort. Having a positive mental attitude is a great start but that alone will not create the great success you are looking for. The 7 components we discussed above are a mixture of your own mindset and the work ethics you will need to succeed. If you have these attributes you have the ability to write your own ticket using the internet as your portal to the succeeding in the world of e-commerce.

With Success as an Option, Why Choose an alternative?

With Success as an Option, Why Choose an alternative?

At the start of each and every day when we first wake up we have a choice. We have the choice as to how our day could be, We can choose to be positive and upbeat about what the day ahead holds for us or we can think the worst and expect it to bring us more of the same in a ‘life goes on’ kind of way and we’d better just accept it and get on.

There’s no shortage of upbeat people with motivational messages telling us to be positive and with a positive outlook we’ll be successful if only we believe it. The various media are full of them. But how many of us think that those people are talking to us or that their message has a meaning for us?

When you think about it though, who else would they be speaking to? The positive, upbeat and successful people don’t need to hear it, they already know it and get on and live it. It’s the other people, the rest of us who take the view that success is only for other people, who are the ones who need to hear these messages.

I know, I’ve been there. Some time, ago I’d started to think that perhaps this was how my life was going to be and that I’d better accept the hand fate had dealt me.

One day though, I was talking to a friend and this subject came up during the conversation. My friend then told me that I was in charge of how my life was and how it would be, not anyone else, and that this was true for everyone. The successful people don’t have a different gene, they just recognise that they are in the position to determine how their life will be. It was a matter of choice. Each day when I wake up I have the choice to believe that today is going to be a good day for me and that I will do all that I can to make things work for me, or I can believe the alternative and let it turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy.

This may sound too simplistic and that success isn’t just about a frame of mind or a belief; that in reality it’s about talent, resources, skills and a host of other things. This is of course true to some extent but sometimes success is about being in the right place at the right time irrespective of the other factors and as we never know in advance when and where that place or time might be, we need to be ready and prepared for it. Being in the right frame of mind means being positive and expectant so that if that opportunity comes along, you’ll recognise it and seize it.

Having the right attitude about how you want your day or life to be is the most important first step on the road to success. A lot will need to happen after that but it’s surprising how a positive mental attitude can be the catalyst for all sorts of things kicking off. What is almost certain is that not having a positive outlook and a strong belief will almost certainly reduce your chance of achieving success to zero.

When you look at the successful people and think that you have nothing in common with them and that’s why you’ll never be a success, the simplest thing you can do to put yourself on an equal footing with them is to have the same positive mental attitude as them.

So, tomorrow morning when you wake up and you’re presented with the choice of how you want your day to be, which option are you going for?

Your mental attitude about day to day living is an essential aspect for living a successful life. A weak mental attitude will get you nowhere. On the other side a good or great attitude can give you enough motivation to succeed beyond your dreams.

Perhaps you?re already be thinking you have a mindset for success, and maybe you do. But, you can benefit from improving your attitude and improving your likelihood for the success you desire.

1. Find your motivation. Find out what motivates you the most and use it to jumpstart your mental attitude. Feeling motivated give you the initiative necessary to find success. Do whatever it takes within your control to find motivation.

* Create a list of your greatest desires, and ask yourself if you’re on the right path to get what you want.

* If you don’t feel you’re going in the right direction, maybe it’s time for a change. Perhaps there’s a fundamental basis why you lack motivation. Reflect on what this might be, and then decide on how you can mentally recharge. When you on the right path you’ll feel inspired!

The Key To Success Is Knowing You Can

The Key To Success Is Knowing You Can

The key to success in any endeavor starts with a positive mental attitude. There is a saying that goes ‘if you think you can you can and if you think you can not you are right’ and this is so true. Have you ever noticed that people with positive attitudes are always so upbeat and motivated? In fact it can be said that a positive mental attitude is the best motivation you can have since it is based upon believing in yourself. Whether it is business or personal your best chance to become successful at ANYTHING begins with a strong inner belief you will succeed.

Here are 10 quick tips you can IMMEDIATELY begin to use to develop a ‘strong’ positive mental attitude. Caution: the use of these tips may very well have you smiling from ear to ear within the first week … proceed carefully!

1) Imagine the Possibilities

Focus your energies more on how you can become successful at a particular endeavor instead of convincing yourself it can not be done. How often have you avoided even TRYING to accomplish something because you talk yourself out of it? Even worse is letting others convince you that goals or objectives are out of your reach. Simply stated if it has been done by somebody else it stands to reason that it can also be done by you!

2) Listen to Your Self Talk

Talking to yourself does not mean you are crazy, in most cases anyway, and can actually be the source of some of the best motivation you may encounter. On the other hand however is that your own self-talk can just as easily sabotage your efforts or motivation. Learn to monitor the ‘reinforcements’ you tend to give to yourself and consciously AVOID any negativity. The repeated use of such innocent but negative reinforcement such as ‘stupid’ or ‘idiot’ when describing your own behavior can easily lead you to ‘assume’ this self-talk is true.

3) Practice Affirmations

Replace any negative thoughts with more encouraging ones that will help you to develop a more positive mental attitude.

4) Appreciate What You Have

Learn to appreciate what it is you may already have and allow these feelings of thankfulness to help you develop a more positive mental attitude. All of us tend to take things for granted so much so we forget what we have.

5) Stop Being Envious

Instead of envy try admiring someone for what they have or what they have accomplished. This replaces the feeling of envy or yearning with a more positive flow of thought that opens the door for you to recognize that these same opportunities exist for you.

Envy can consume your energies and distract your focus from taking more proactive measures in your own life.

6) Find Inspiration from Others

Instead of yearning for what others may have find inspiration in the fact that if they can attain it so can you. As we mentioned above what one person can accomplish can also be accomplished by another. Realizing this is the best motivation you can have to help you take the necessary actions to realize any particular objective you may have chosen.

7) Avoid Negative People

Negative people will suck the motivation right out of you and replace it with their own miserable and negative thoughts. We all know negative people and although they are not necessarily bad people they generally inhibit you from making improvements in your own life. Accept their criticism with grace but do not hang on their every word or they will drain the life out of you.

8) Associate with Positive People

The people you want to be around are those who realize the vast potential of not only themselves but of you as well. Positives attitudes can be infectious and will only serve to further motivate you and increase your enjoyment of life itself.

9) View Failures as Lessons Learned

There are no failure only lessons that you must learn in order to become successful at whatever you are pursuing. Accepting setbacks in this way takes away the frustration and disappointment and replaces it with a renewed vigor and confidence.

With each ‘failure’ you are in fact one step closer to success!

10) Stop Complaining

Much like negative people draining your energy and disrupting your focus you too can accomplish the same by always complaining. Stop and consider for a moment what good comes out of complaining? Complaining is not productive nor does it move you closer to whatever it may be you seek but instead fills you with negative thoughts.

Positive attitudes are the key to success in just about anything you can imagine that is worth accomplishing in your life. To become successful at anything you MUST posses the proper motivation and a positive mental attitude is the best motivation you can possibly have. A person who has a strong belief in their own convictions and abilities can not be denied success. The 10 tips we reviewed above are meant to serve as a guide for building a healthier mindset that WILL have an immediate and positive impact on your life. Smile for you already possess what it takes to live the life you want. Start unleashing it today!
