Permanent Weight Loss – Prepare to Beat the Odds and Release Weight for Good With Positive Changes

Permanent Weight Loss – Prepare to Beat the Odds and Release Weight for Good With Positive Changes

Have you tried every diet known to humankind but are still struggling with weight? Have you learned the “what” to do for losing weight, exercising, wealth building or other personal goals but still can’t get yourself to do it? Do you start out with the best intentions but lose steam if you don’t get immediate results?

If so, you’re in good company. The truth is, less than 5% of people who learn about prosperity building or other types of personal development will actually apply it to achieve success. The odds are even worse for permanent weight loss.

Did you know that only one-half of one percent of people who lose more than 100 pounds will keep it off for more than five years? That’s almost nobody. Not even one body in a hundred compared to the lucky five who’ll become wealthy.

I founded O C E A N to help you overcome those dismal odds because I know what’s its like to struggle against them and – gratefully – I know how to beat them. My expertise is in understanding the process of making change and coaching others how to be successful for good.

Let’s use weight loss for our focus today, but know that what I’m teaching applies equally to just about any positive change you are trying to make in your life.

Despite the fact that anyone with a TV knows that eating less and exercising more equals weight loss, the vast majority are unable to do it. Why so few?

That’s what I wanted to know when I weighed nearly 300 pounds for the second time and was ready to lose weight for the last time. I was well aware of the discouraging odds I faced and I was determined to be in that tiny percentage of successful “losers”. So I added graduate school in psychology to my career in business and researched how human beings breakthrough inner obstacles to create permanent, positive changes. Through years of study and personal practice I developed a powerful and enlivening process that I now teach to those who are ready to succeed. What I discovered changed my life for good and it will give you a whole new approach to beat the odds and succeed in reaching your goals.

So let’s begin by returning to the question of why so few succeed at applying what they learn to weight loss or financial success. The answer is an obvious secret. Most people simply can’t “just do it.” If they could, they would.

We have unrealistic expectations about mental success that we would never have about athletic success. We think if we mentally learn the mechanics of a new venture, the doing should come easily. We know this is untrue in sports. Mentally knowing how to swing a golf club does not make driving over 300 yards easy. It takes a combination of understanding the most effective method of swinging, dedication to learning the skill, and hours and hours of practice that includes more failures than successes. Why do we think starting a new career, growing our prosperity, or losing weight should be any different?

When you commit to developing your health or prosperity skills, you are stepping onto a path that will challenge you to grow beyond your comfort zone of already mastered abilities. Most adults fall asleep to the fact that learning and growth continue throughout their entire lifetime and think they should know how to do things without practice. Then, when it doesn’t work that way, they give up before they really begin.

Right now begin with the attitude that you are capable of meeting the demands of learning the skills of building your health and wealth. Every one of us has some successes we can build upon. Acknowledge your strengths and use them to develop your weaknesses.

Being strong doesn’t mean being hard on yourself. Now that you know the odds you’re facing, I want you to give yourself a break for not having succeeded so far. If you’ve spent a lot of money on diets, books, or products, it’s likely that you or someone in your life may be giving you a hard time about “not doing anything with all that stuff.” I’m guessing harassment hasn’t worked to get you moving so far – it rarely does – especially for the long term. So since harassment isn’t working, stop it now. Inner criticism is the single biggest obstacle to your growth.

Instead, I invite you to take a minute to realize you are facing a huge opportunity that will be riddled with challenges. This is an opportunity that will change your life in ways that will thrill you to your toes and make you passionate about sharing your success with others (like it has for me). Knowing the odds you’re facing will help you realize that your breakthrough to radiance and prosperity will require your full commitment, a positive outlook, resiliency, and inner strength.

Breakthrough Practice for You

This week make sure you are as prepared as possible for the challenges you face. Every successful athlete and business person prepares for the challenges of their precious opportunity with expert information, consistent training, support through the rough spots, and lifestyle design to support their goals.

- Are you actively learning about how to create the health and prosperity levels you desire?

- Are you practicing your health and wealth skills consistently? Daily? Weekly?

- Do you have a team of people giving you positive support and encouragement through the difficulties?

- Have you made your health and prosperity a priority in your life and built it into your schedule?

Take a few minutes and answer these questions for yourself right now. I’ll wait (theme from Jeopardy here). How many “yes” answers do you have? Give yourself credit for them. And plan one simple action that can begin to turn your “no” answers around. There’s more to being in the less than 5% than just having the methods.

And now I invite you to advance your success today by getting your Free Inner Secrets Intro CD when you visit http://www.innersecretsforyou.com You’ll receive the tips you need to help you take the next step in facing any challenge to your success.

Your Last Weightloss Program – Discover The Little Known Link

Your Last Weightloss Program – Discover The Little Known Link

It is now more common for anyone to beat themselves up over failing yet again at some restrictive weightloss program than it is for an adult to hold their head high with pride over who they are at whatever weight they happen to rest. Why is it that so many of of us are so successful at managing every other aspect of our lives, but we cannot seem to live with a reasonable weight loss diet long enough to correct our health and quality of life?

This is a really good question because if you can run a business, care for kids responsibly, and coordinate every other area of your chaotic, fast paced life, you should be more than capable of managing your weight!

You really should cut yourself some slack because the problem is not your enjoyment of donuts or a general lack of self-discipline. Most people are simply lacking a very important link of the weight loss equation…but you are about to discover it!

The Missing Link

Most people adopt a new weightloss program and determine what foods they are going to be required to give up or how many days each week they will be forced to work out. They think about how following this new weight loss diet is going to impact their daily routine and readjust their daily schedule to fit in demanding exercise programs or trips to some weight loss club for shots.

What most people do not stop to consider is the mental aspects of losing weight. You may have never realized it in the past, but you are guaranteed to fail at losing weight until you get your mind in order.

We are not talking about basic motivation in this regard. Your attitude, opinions, and thought processes regarding your new weight loss diet and the idea of losing weight in general must change if you are going to make progress long term.

Preparing For Change

How many times have set your environment up for success on a weight loss diet by removing destructive foods from the kitchen and stocking up on healthy options? That is ineffective if you failed to also prepare your mind for mental success. When your mind is in the right place, you won’t be as weak to destructive foods in the house.

Mental clarity and commitment is essential to make any weightloss program work. If you finally embrace that fact, you will find yourself doing some very different things to ensure long term success.

There are many different ways to successfully prepare mentally for a big change in your life, but the most effective way to get your mind in tune with what your body is doing is to work hypnosis in your weightloss program.

How to Accomplish your Goals?

How to Accomplish your Goals?

“ THE WORLD MAKES WAY FOR THE MAN WHO KNOWS WHERE HE IS GOING” – RALPH WALDO EMERSON.

WHAT IS GOAL SETTING?

Every human being has an inherent, innate urge to grow and get recognition. It is natural trait amongst all the human beings to do something unique and extraordinary in order to get noticed. It is because of this strong desire, man invented many things right from the Stone Age and evolved himself as the most intelligent animal that can talk, memorize and reason. All the latest technology, comforts, innovations, inventions etc., are the result of the root desire to excel and get noticed from the crowd. Although all human beings are gifted with many qualities and traits, it is only a few who explore their inherent strengths and succeed in the society. And the majority gets absorbed in the crowd. Goal setting as a tool had been existing since time immemorial but very few realized that goal setting as a science and as a tool. All people those who succeeded from Stone Age to space age has set their goals one way or the other.

Goal setting is a wonderful and interesting tool and, if used as the right technique, man can succeed in his life. The management books do lay stress on this as it has become a vital and pivotal for the success of any institution or organization. In this century and especially in the recent years this tool is being added in various academic institutions in order to get the best results.

IMPORTANCE:

Everyone has a goal either directly or indirectly and whether one pursues seriously or casually and whether knowing it consciously or unconsciously. Goal setting as a tool can unlock the vast hidden human potential. Harvey Mackay quoted, “ Goals give you more than a reason to get up in the morning; they are an incentive to keep you going all day. Goals tend to tap the deeper resources and draw the best out of life”.

Goal setting as an idea can change the world within you and around you. It makes an individual to plan properly. It provides a sense of direction and prepares one to organize himself properly. It constantly awakens an individual to remain alert both physically and mentally. It builds up confidence and competency. It raises the levels of energy and enthusiasm. It cultivates passion and it brings out the best from the people. And it helps in managing one’s time efficiently and effectively.

TYPES OF GOALS:

Goals vary from person to person depending upon the values one cherishes. For example, the goal of Mahatma Gandhi was to attain independence for our country from British. The goal of a sportsman is to win goals medals in Olympics. The role of a businessman is to stand numero uno in his business line. The goal of a student is to stand first in his class or to stand first among all institutions. Likewise goals differ from individual to individual depending upon his tastes and temperaments.

However, the goals are basically divided into short term and long term goals. Again, the span of long term and short term differs from context to context. Usually less than a year, it is known as short-term goal and if it is more than a year, it is known as long term goals. One needs to have both short term and long term goals and one must see that these two are closely related. To lay stress on the significance of long term goals Charles C. Noble rightly said, “You must have long term goals to keep you from being frustrated by short term failures”.

For instance, if some one wants to become a successful businessman, he must set his short term goals in such a way that the successes or achievements made out of the short term goals must be intertwined with his long term goal. Even if there are short falls or set backs resulting out of short-term goals, the long-term goal will not be lost sight of as aptly said by Charles C. Noble.

In marketing language, goals are known as targets and the marketing people continuously strive to reach their marketing targets. By this way also the companies expand their business.

Jack Welch of General Electric (GE) highlighted about stretch goals. When the goals are stretched, people work with more dedication, determination and discipline. Because stretching oneself leads to touching upper limits and touching one’s upper limits bring a great sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. One way the stretch goals are encouraging and enlightening and force an individual to stretch to greater limits.

HOW TO SET YOUR GOALS?

Abraham Lincoln said, “ A goal properly set is half way reached”. First, find out the strengths and weaknesses and list it out. It is desirable to consult your trusted colleagues to assist you in this exercise. All human beings have biases and prejudices. And if assessed by yourself it may not give you correct analysis. Acquire the correct analysis and report of your strengths and weaknesses. After listing out your strengths in the assets side and weaknesses in the liability side, you can deeply analyze and can come to a conclusion about your personality profile. Then you list out your inner ambitions and goals whether they are matching with your profile. Whether it can be attained or reachable and what are all the obstacles or hindrances or the stumbling blocks on the way to reach the same. It is a typical mental exercise but once the process is completed it is almost like a winning half of the battle.

All efforts must be made very clear to see that the goals are not conflicting and contradicting with each other. Check whether your goals are in tune with your principles, policies, philosophy and ideals. If found to be in tune than go ahead. It is like what Epictetus said, “First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do”. The next stage is to break the goals into smaller parts or elements. You can also divide the goals into short term and long-term goals. Here another important thing is to commit your goals on paper. Some one rightly said, “Write it down. Written goals have a way of transforming wishes into wants; can’t into cans; dreams into plans; and plans into reality. Don’t just think it – ink it! ” Studies revealed that 95 percent of the people don’t write their goals and it is only 5 per cent write and their success rate is higher.

After classifying written goals into short term and long term goals, break down the tasks further on a daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and annual based. By executing in this way you will get focussed and it becomes easier for you to monitor your performance periodically. It is like a few people making annual resolutions on every New Year day and tracking the same at the end of the calendar year.

Goals should be set in such a way that you must be able to work with passion rather than under compulsion. While setting the goals there should not be any influence from parental side, family side or friends’ side. And don’t set the same goals, which others have set and succeeded, as goals will vary from person to person based on attitude and aptitude. In a nutshell, don’t copy others’ goals.

While setting goals, usually set small, achievable, and reachable goals. Any effort to set bigger goals in the initial stage itself will lead to failure and becoming a demotivating factor and thereby upsetting the apple cart. Global steel giant Mr.Lakhsmi Niwas Mittal said, “Set realistic and achievable goals. After achieving the same, set further higher goals”. For each goal there should be a deadline and fixed time frame. Ensure that the goals have multiutility purposes and objectives. At times intuition can prove handy in setting goals.

It is rightly said, “A successful person doesn’t quit trying once a goal is reached, but sets a new one and keeps going”. Always reward yourself after reaching each small goal. It boosts your energy levels and also serves as a motivational tool.

GOALSETTING FOR STUDENTS:

Students should recognize their inner and inherent abilities in the childhood itself. A goal, which is focussed for a long time and that too from the tender age itself, will become more meaningful and realistic. “Goals are discovered, not made”, said Richard J. Foster. In this context, the parents must play a pivotal role to find out the hidden talents of their children by scientific or psychometric analysis tests and must nurture the children. Simultaneously, teachers have also a vital role to play in this context. They are also involved in shaping the minds of the students. If the approach is triangular i.e. from parental, teacher and from the student level then the probability of reaching goals faster and quicker are brighter.

If a student dream of becoming an IAS (Indian Administrative Service which is a prestigious civil servant post in India), he should get equipped him right from the elementary school level itself. For this, there should be both short term and long term goals. In short term goals, the student should stand first in the class by reading the entire subjects voraciously from different dimensions. He must be a good leader in the school level itself by organizing various social and cultural activities. He must excel in all types of competition such as quizzes, essay writing, extempore speech etc., He must also participate in sports and extra curricular activities, which builds qualities like team spirit, camaraderie, killer instinct, organizing ability and sociability. Like wise, he must be all rounder right from the school level itself so that

20 Sales Tips & Attributes That Are Necessary for Success in Anything

Often we hear that sales is an industry or a job – the reality is that the ability to sell is necessary in every industry, selling is more of a learned skill and mentality than it is a job, and the tips and attributes for effective sales can (and must) be implemented to achieve any dream, goal, or success in life. Perhaps first and foremost, we need to eliminate from our minds the misconception that all salesmen are greedy, pushy, and unethical. The unfortunate fact that a minority of unprofessional salesmen use those types of sales techniques should never justify ignorantly assuming that all sales techniques are bad; in fact, the ability to reach your full potential and become and accomplish anything is determined on the very techniques, attributes, and mentality that effective and ethical salesmen use all the time.

Listed below are 20 different sales tips, techniques, attributes, mentalities, and actions that if understood and applied will result in effective selling, increased profits, and greater success. Ironically, the same 30 principles are absolutely necessary to know and implement in order to achieve any goal, dream, or success in life.

1) 90% is Mentality: Success in sales is not necessarily determined by the demand for the product, current market conditions, company or location, prospect or customer needs, or even the sales techniques used. The ability to think big, disregard objections and rejections, never worry what others say or think, constantly be enthusiastic and optimistic, overcome fear and doubt, and have confidence and belief in ourselves – this mentality is what is needed to be effective in sales, regardless of what the product is.

2) 10% is Work: Anyone can be effective in sales if they work harder, longer, and do whatever it takes to accomplish their goals. Sales is a numbers game – and the more calls made, appointments set up, or doors knocked, the more success is experienced. Never forget, however, that because it is a numbers game, many of those numbers will be a ‘no.’ And always remember that the greatest baseball players in the world usually only hit the ball 3 out of every 10 times they are up to bat – and they get paid extremely well for striking out or getting out those 7 other times. Sales techniques are secondary to perseverance, daily action, and working hard.

3) ‘No’ Does Not Mean ‘No’: The word ‘no’ means the customer does not understand, does not see the benefit, or needs more information. Successful salesmen understand that hearing the word ‘no’ is nothing personal, signifies more information is needed, and is a necessary step to the word ‘yes.’

4) Assume the Sale: Your mentality, body language, words used, and actions should always communicate that you know that the customer will buy from you. Your approach is not one of hope, but of complete confidence in yourself, the product, and the fact that they need this product – and they thus are going to buy from you.

5) Negotiate a Win-Win: The most successful salesmen actually develop the ability to lose in order to win. They put the customer or potential client’s desires, wants, and needs above their own and ensure that the end result is a win-win for all parties. Losing a little revenue to obtain a satisfied customer has always been a recipe for long-term profits and success.

6) Sell the Benefits – Not the Product: Ultimately, people don’t care about you or the product – they want to know how the product will benefit them.

7) Be Yourself: Developing effective sales techniques should never translate into developing a different personality. People will buy from you if they like you, trust you, and sense genuineness from you.

8) Engage Them Through Open-Ended Questions: Our typical perception of salesmen is usually someone who is fast-talking, cocky, and greedy. Effective, professional, and ethical salesmen know how to talk and listen, ask sincere open-ended questions, and engage the customer by having them reveal their interests, needs, and concerns.

9) Goals: A sign of effective salesmen is that they have specific short-term and long-term goals. They not only review them, but re-commit to them every day. Their goals, however, are more than a hope or dream because they implement specific daily actions and never quit until their goals are realized.

10) Continually Learning: Successful salesmen know and continue to learn about their products, prospects, customers, market, and industry. Being knowledgeable and a resource of information – call it a sales technique if you wish – is important to their success, and more importantly, appreciated by the customer. Because they know their customer, product, and industry so well, they can thus tailor each approach according to the situation or need of the customer.

11) Comfort Zone: There is no such thing as a ‘comfort zone’ to a successful salesman. They realize that their success is dependent upon taking risks, doing things that are difficult, facing rejection, and persisting despite how hard, awkward, uncomfortable, or unsuccessful it may be at times.

12) Fortune is in the Follow-Up: Enough said, right!

13) Scarcity & Urgency: Unprofessional salesmen use these tactics by lying to obtain sales; effective and professional salesmen implement them properly all the time. Have you ever heard the phrase ‘while supplies last,’ or ‘limited time offer,’ or ‘weekend blowout sale’ or even ‘half-off’? Communicating scarcity, creating a sense of urgency, and advertising discounts initiates increased action by both the salesman and the customer.

14) Attributes & Appearance: Effective salesmen possess (actually, they develop) certain attributes that are necessary to achieve success in anything in life. They are confident in themselves, are excellent communicators, have exceptional people skills, never take rejection personally or worry what others think, always take risks, learn from failure, and continually overcome the voices of fear and doubt in their minds. In addition, they dress for success! Not only do their thoughts and words communicate confidence and success, but so do their actions and body language, clothing and grooming, as well as their appearance and demeanor.

15) Name Dropping, Endorsements, & Testimonials: As effective, knowledgeable, and even hard-working as the salesmen may be, the potential customer wants to know what others say or think about the product. Any effective pitch, promotion, or marketing campaign will always include endorsements, reviews, or testimonials of others – and the more recognizable the names or companies endorsing, the more success will result.

16) Move On: Time is money! Effective salesmen develop an ability to sense when an opportunity is fruitless or a potential customer is not interested. Then, in a respectful way, they move on – and quickly.

17) Ethics & Character: As important as each of these techniques are, they will be ineffective if implemented in a dishonest or unethical way. Of course money can and is made from unethical approaches and tactics; however, those individual salesmen and companies who do this will always be revealed, and failure will eventually be the result. Professional and effective salesmen realize that honesty is just as important as product knowledge, integrity is far more important than sales techniques, and a person’s character, kindness, professionalism, and honesty always result in increased profits, repeat customers, and greater success.

18) Always Be Closing: A ‘close’ essentially is a phrase stating that you are ‘assuming the sale,’ or it is an actual question asked to determine whether or not they are ready to buy, sign, or move forward on the deal. Effective salesmen use ‘soft’ or ‘hard’ closes all the time with the intention of course to get them to buy, but initially to actually allow them an opportunity to reveal their concerns. ‘Closing’ is difficult, takes courage, can be uncomfortable, and can even be risky because it could possibly cause the customer to retreat – but effective salesmen are always ‘closing.’ Read that last sentence again, and therein you will not only find attributes of a good salesmen, but many of the secrets of success to accomplish anything.

19) Persist Always: The majority of personal successes in life are usually accomplished after the individual determines to not give up when they experience setbacks, rejection, or even failure. More important than any of the tactics, techniques, attributes, and actions listed above – the salesman who persists will be the salesman who succeeds.

20) Secrets of Success: As one carefully reviews each of the principles above, it becomes evident that success as a salesman requires implementing the same principles, laws, and recipe to be successful in anything in life. Thus, having the best product, the
